Should Certain People Be Forgiven For The Deaths Caused By Titanic?

In my opinion, I don't think that the survivors should be forgiven. They were on the ship with all those people, and some of them may have worse lives than others. When the boat was sinking the survivors did not care about anybody but themselves. They could have gone back for the others, but they didn;t because they were safe, and that's all they cared about. I also don't think that captain Stanley Lord should be forgiven. He was only nineteen miles away from the Titanic when it was going down. He saw that there were flares going off and he didn't even go to help. If he would have cared, and if he would have been there to help, im sure that there would not have been so many people to die.

Pity

He does deserve pity. " Believe me, I would be ready to suffer worse and longer pains if by that means I could bring back the dead." He obviously feels bad about all torture he put people through and all the people he killed. He would be willing to put hisself through worse to make up for it, and if he could, he would go back and change it. "I know what I have told you is terrible. I have longed to talk about it to a Jew and beg forgiveness from him." He has been wanting to apologize for the hurt and pain he has caused. He has changed. If he was ordered to kill, he probably couldn't quit. He deserves Pity.
